SABOKU

Mutant Vehicle by HAKUNA MATATA

Where Polygons Come Alive

Saboku was born from a bold idea to build something entirely out of polygons and LEDs. It’s not just an art car, it’s a moving experiment that keeps evolving every year.
Alex Roman, creator of SABOKU
I wanted the sculpture to move and breathe with light, like a loyal creature that wakes up after dark. It’s one of the highest platforms on the playa — made of over 200 polygons!

Behind the Build

The first version took about 11 months, but honestly it never ends. Saboku keeps changing, improving, and glowing stronger every year.

Human & Dust Powered

Those who assemble, weld, tighten bolts, test the lights, laugh and still keep doing it again and again.
We’re a mix of engineers, artists, friends, and random people who once just wanted to help.
